This motif can be found on textiles from Sassanid Empire. (224 to 651 AD)
Inspired by an old Iranian motif curved on a door in tomb of Hafez. I took a photo of the original door when I traveled to Shiraz. Iranian patterns and motifs are rich sources of inspiration for modern approach to art and design.
